EveryAction Acquires ActionKit
Innovative Talent and Digital Product Add to EveryAction’s Rapid Growth
Washington, D.C., May 8, 2019 – EveryAction, a leading provider of software serving over 15,000 nonprofits, announced today that it has acquired We Also Walk Dogs Inc., more commonly known by their product’s name, ActionKit. The acquisition follows EveryAction’s strategy of collecting the best people who create the best SaaS products, that provide the most value to nonprofits.
ActionKit offers a Digital toolset recognized for its innovative and powerful features, and for providing the scale and reliability needed by larger organizations. Clients include some of the largest and most successful organizations, like MoveOn, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and ONE. The team, led by CEO Patrick Kane, is widely respected as one of the smartest software teams serving nonprofits, with deep understanding of the key outcomes for its client, and with passionate commitment to helping nonprofits achieve their goals. ActionKit’s revenue grew rapidly in 2018. ActionKit will become a division of EveryAction, headed by Kane.
EveryAction offers a best-in-class Digital, Fundraising and Organizing SaaS products, with a unified customer relationship management (CRM) platform that is able to effectively serve large and small nonprofits, as well as campaigns through its NGP VAN brand. EveryAction revenue grew by 47% in 2018, and with annual revenues of $50M per year, is now one of the largest and also one of the fastest growing providers of software to nonprofits. EveryAction clients include some of the largest and most successful organizations, including the National Audubon Society, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the United Nations Foundation.
Clients of both companies will benefit in many ways, including by expanding the network effect of each company’s one-click contributions and form pre-filling features, leading to higher conversion rates and more engagement for nonprofits. Additionally, ActionKit clients will gain access to the EveryAction Fundraising and Organizing products, and EveryAction’s unique CRM – the only nonprofit-focused unified CRM of its kind on the market capable of serving large nonprofits.
The acquisition follows EveryAction’s partnership with Insight Partners last August, through which Insight Partners provides capital for the company’s growth. Insight is a leading venture capital and private equity firm focused on high-growth technology and software companies, with a 20+ year track record in partnering to scale businesses. EveryAction is a platform investment of the firm’s $6.3B Fund X, closed in 2018. EveryAction will continue to be active with acquisitions moving forward.
